Our Story

Both-Galleries

Our goal is to make GREENVILLE GA an ART DESTINATION.  Greenville is ideally located in west central Georgia midway between Atlanta and Columbus in a perfect rural destination for day trips. Greenville and Meriwether County are blessed with beautiful unspoiled landscapes in the 500 square miles that make up the county.  Seven incorporated cities are home to historic downtowns with buildings that have not been changed by urbanization, a nostalgic way of life perfect for artists and the arts.  See Area Attractions

Two fine art galleries flank the historic Meriwether County Courthouse in Greenville.  Artisans on the Square, on the west side, opened in November 2016 in the historic Hill Brothers Corner, built in 1896 and owned by the Hill Family until purchased by current owners, Rod and Linda Wilburn, in 2012.   The Print Shop Gallery, on the east side, opened in January of 2011 in an 1896 building which was the former home to Charles Jones Printing.  Both galleries sell original art only, on consignment, and represent regional artists from Georgia and Alabama.

Artisans on the Square hosts six Special Exhibits every year featuring one or more artists and genres of art for limited time exhibits.

We are located at 112 South Talbotton Street, on the historic courthouse square in Greenville, directly across from Meriwether Courthouse and next to The Willows Eatery. When you get to the square, you are there!
